Where does the time go? It seems like we just
got here, but Wayne is in the final week of classes. It has
been really exciting to learn how to plan a vernacular media program to
communicate the Scriptures to oral learners. Wayne and three
classmates are gaining practical experience working on a media project
for the Blaan people of southern Philippines. We are working with Mary
Rhea, a translator who started working with the Blaan in the late 1960's.
She told us about revenge killings, a major family problem
among the Blaan. We are putting together a plan using Bible
storying, dramas, music, and cassettes to communicate God's peace and
forgiveness to the Blaan. What a blessing it is to be here! |

The Helio- Courier (right) can carry six passengers and take off or
land on a runway of only 165 yards, and over a 50 foot obstacle! It
is a very good plane to get missionaries to remote areas of the world. |

| Linda's mother passed away on October 6. She was 83 years old, a Christian, and in hospice. We celebrated her life at the funeral in Jasper, GA. On the way there, we saw the Tate Mansion (above right). It is in Tate, GA, and the walls are made out of marble. It was quite a place to look at. | |
